Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 20 February 2026

1. Your work is yours

You retain full copyright and all moral rights in everything you write here. We claim no licence to publish, distribute, adapt or train on your manuscripts, papers or notes.

2. Your account

You are responsible for keeping your password and two-factor device secure. Do not share accounts. Notify us if you believe your account has been accessed by someone else, and use the Security page to sign out other devices.

3. Acceptable use

Do not use the service to store unlawful material, to infringe another person’s copyright, or to attack, overload or probe the infrastructure. Automated bulk scraping of the service is not permitted.

4. Availability and backups

The service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis without warranty of uninterrupted operation. Per-chapter version history and offline caching reduce the risk of loss, but you remain responsible for keeping your own copies — use the export tools regularly for anything irreplaceable.

5. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including lost profits, lost publication opportunities or lost data beyond what the service’s own version history can restore.

6. Termination

You may delete your content or account at any time. We may suspend accounts that breach these terms. On termination, your rows are deleted from the database.

7. Changes

We will update the date at the top of this page when these terms change. Continued use after a change means you accept the revised terms. See also our Privacy Policy.
